I have posted this before, but I still find this amazing and interesting so I am re-posting. .
Re work done by Dr Garfield Duncan at the University of Pennsylvania, during the 60’s I guess. .
“Fasting patients lose all sense of hunger after forty-eight hours without food” how can that be?
Other researchers showed that when the diet had been free of carbohydrates for 48 hours a fat-mobilizing substance was present in the urine.
The body is then satisfying its hunger by burning its own fat as fuel.
No carbohydrates also means no hunger.
That is why people that go on a hunger strike do not feel the hunger, as long as no carbohydrates are taken into the body. .
